ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR
NIAGARA MUSIC AWARDS
The First Annual Niagara Music Awards were held
at the Niagara Centre for the Performing Arts on March 25th. The Music
Awards Gala brought forth a new beginning to the music scene in Niagara,
and also brought exposure to all genres of music that are offered in the
area.
Performers such as Jack De Keyzer, The Mahones, Dave Rave and The Joys
put on excellent performances in between the awards being presented. Molson's
Rock Group of the Year went to local band "The Guv'nor Generals" and Rose
City Travel Group of the Year went to "Oliver Black", Gonz Heavy Metal
Group of the Year went to MDM(Modern Digital Militia)-a band from St.Catharines,
and Primeway.
Niagara Entertainer of the Year went to Pink
Floyd Niagara. Many other awards in various categories were
also presented. Congratulations to all the nominees and award winners!
