MARK CHRISTOPHER
Lead & Acoustic Guitars / Vocals

Born in the early sixties, Mark started playing guitar at age seven, drums at age ten and keyboards at age twelve. He has been singing and writing music since he can remember. Mark has been playing professionally since 1981 in various road bands such as The Criminals, Montage, Night Shift, My Three Sons, Randy Pantz, Ice Nine, and duos Common Ground and The Fab Two. It was through The Fab Two that Mark first met Larry Swiercz which eventually led to his role in PFN. Tired of playing Top 40 in small time venues, Mark decided to pack it in unless a worth while project fell into his lap that would restore the magic of performing live. And that's just what happened.

Let Mark’s own words relay to one his feelings about this new venture…

Initially the thought of playing with so many musicians in one project scared me, as there can be more problems the more people you add to the mix. But everyone in PFN are professional, seasoned musicians all in and around the same age group, all on the same page, all striving to do their best to make this the definitive Pink Floyd show. On the guitar end I'm having a blast recreating David Gilmour's tones by way of collecting vintage guitar pedals that he used back in the day. Going as far as to having the active pick up system he used installed in my Fender Strat to come as close as I can to his sound."

"Unfortunately that's only half the battle. Gilmour's style is second to none. A guitar hero who is difficult to replicate; but, I think that's what makes us a cut above the rest. We have spent a lot of time on detail, striving to recreate the Pink Floyd sound as close as we can get it: note for note, tone for tone. Also the fact that the band is in quadraphonic sound along with all of the special audio effects is a huge bonus. Not to mention the visuals are out of this world with laser lights, intelligent lighting, monster video screen and on and on. I am extremely proud to be a part of Pink Floyd Niagara as are we all. And I am looking forward to performing in this project for years to come.
