The Niagara Music Awards ceremony Tuesday night was well organized and exciting, with mind-blowing musical talent from throughout the peninsula. Pink Floyd Niagara was named Tribute Band of the Year, and thrilled the crowd with an "unplugged" performance of Pink Floyd favourites. CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners, and to the organizers for another fabulous musical event! February 19, 2009
The 2009 Niagara Music Awards, presented by Capital M Productions and 91.7 Giant FM, will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at the Niagara Centre for the Arts, and promises to be even more spectacular than last year's ceremonies. Pink Floyd Niagara has been nominated in two categories - Best Tribute Band, and Best Theatrical Performance. PFN has also been invited to provide entertainment during this event, so we will be performing "unplugged" that night. We are saddened to announce the passing of rock music legend Richard Wright, keyboardist and songwriter for Pink Floyd. In the words of his close friend and band mate David Gilmour, "He was gentle, unassuming and private but his soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of the most recognised Pink Floyd sound."
